A brilliant opportunity to bring an old piece of industrial Bury back to life. In our mission to create bloody grand spaces we took on a small industrial site in Bury consisting of an outside space and a 40sqm inside space. Years of neglect and fly tipping meant the biggest task was to clear the waste and formalise the boundaries of the land. Eight skips later we had clear site and a clear vision of what Black Shed Yard could be. The name comes from the buildings on the site during the time when the site was LPD a large adhesive manufacturers. You can see the wagons on site and the night wagons loading up ready for the trip outs. The site originally hosted a much large industrial cotton mill several stories high. As time past and the huge building became unnecessary the buildings shrunk down to be more efficient and fit for their new purpose.
